Guess what I got?!! My new Zara order! Wooo! Last week on my YouTube channel, I shared a Zara try-on video for the first time in a year or two and I asked my subscribers whether they would like to see more Zara in the future and the resounding answer was YES!!! So I thought I would make a blog post sharing my latest Zara order! In this blog post I’ll also share multiple ways to style the same pieces and I’ll be sure to include sizing information because sometimes I find Zara can run a little small.
If you watched my Zara try-on on YouTube last week, you’ll be happy to know that this time I ordered more than just skirts! lol Whenever I shop on Zara’s website, I first go to the menu and select a category, like shirts, dresses, or blazers, and scroll through all the items in that category before moving on to the next one. It’s been a year or two since I shopped at Zara and I started my shopping on the “skirts” category and loved SO many skirts that I never ventured outside of the skirts category! lol This time I have more than just skirts to share! I have dresses, jeans, trousers, blazers, tops, sweaters, and yes, SKIRTS! lol
A big fashion trend for spring 2025 is what I’m calling “romantic details”, think details like ruffles and lace. Although, this isn’t really a new trend. These details, in my opinion, are always in style but I would say they are more in style this season than usual. This pretty ruffle blouse is a nod to that trend. This blouse is in an ivory color and the material is semi-sheer. Here I am not wearing a camisole underneath and because there are ruffles cascading down the front, I feel like in the front it’s not that see-through. Since the back doesn’t have the ruffle details, you can kind of see through the material so I would recommend either wearing skin-toned undergarments or a camisole underneath.
There are hidden buttons going down the front (I left a couple unbuttoned at the bottom). I usually tuck in my shirts and blouses but I thought it looked so pretty untucked because of the ruffle details and it has a typical shirt hem where the hem is a little longer in the center and is shorter at the sides and the blouse is also a perfect length to be untucked (it’s not too long and not too short) so I left it untucked here.

It also looks pretty tucked and you could also add a belt, if you prefer. Which do you prefer? I couldn’t decide lol I’ll probably wear it both ways, just depending on my mood that day! lol
And a moment for the jeans! Prior to a week or two ago, it has been SO long since I shopped at Zara and even longer since I tried out their jeans and I have to say, I have been MISSING OUT!! These jeans are SUCH a great fit! I would describe the style as a little looser than a typical straight leg jean (I feel like there is slightly more room in the leg than a classic straight leg jean). For length reference, I’m 5’6″ and I’m wearing them here with a ballerina flat shoe and the length is PERFECT!

Styling the same ruffle blouse but with wide leg trousers for a more dressy look. This would be a great outfit for those slightly more dressy occasions, like work, brunch, or church! Love the color of these pants for spring, I would describe the color as a muted olive green. They are high waisted and have pleats in the front. I have to admit, I saw these pants when I placed my first Zara order and loved the way they looked on the model but I was hesitant to buy them because sometimes front pleats don’t look quite right on me. But I am SO glad I took the chance on these! I feel like the pleats actually make the pants lol and they look really good on! They are also the perfect length for me to wear a small kitten heel (like I’m wearing here) and I also could wear them with a flat shoe.

This ruffle blouse is SO pretty on it’s own but it also looks SO pretty layered under a blazer or cardigan! The opening of the blazer or cardigan accentuates and draws attention to the pretty ruffle details cascading down the front of the blouse. This is another great option to wear for work or more dressy occasions.

As soon as I saw this dress, I said YES!! ::add to cart:: lol I tend to gravitate toward neutral colored clothing and usually plain clothes (with the exception of stripes and animal print). This season I am trying to make a conscientious decision to add more color to my wardrobe and I thought this shirt dress would be the perfect addition! The pink colors in this dress are SO pretty and the print almost reminds me of an abstract watercolor painting.
This dress is a shirt dress style with gold buttons going all the way down the front (I left a couple unbuttoned at the bottom), it has a collar, and it’s made of a satin-like material so it has a pretty sheen to the material. It also comes with the belt for around the waist and I find the belt to be SO pretty! Sometimes when clothes come with belts, the belts can be a little plain but this one has really unique details! It has a double buckle (one is gold and the other has a braided look to it in the same material as the rest of the belt). One of the biggest fashion trends for spring 2025 is cardigans, blazers, and dresses worn with a belt around the waist so this shirt dress is also a nod to that trend.
This dress is SO versatile! It could be worn now with a knee high boot and once it gets warmer out, it could be worn with a kitten heel, ballet flat, or sandal. It also could be worn for different occasions, like work, church, brunch, Easter, or graduation!

A quick note about sizing on the dress – I wasn’t too sure about sizing so I sized up one size to a medium. The dress is a little big on me overall and I should have just got my usual size. However, I don’t mind this style of dress to be a little looser on me and, to be honest lol, I REALLY wanted to wear this dress the other day so decided to keep the medium so I could wear it right away lol. Since the dress is a little big on me, the belt was also a little big around my waist and I have a belt hole puncher from Amazon and I needed to punch two extra holes in the belt. All that to say lol, this dress runs true to size and I would recommend getting it in your usual size.

Whenever I buy something, I always think in the back of my mind how much wear I can get out of the item. For example, whether I can wear it for multiple seasons, for different occasions, and if I could style it in different ways to create “new” outfits. This slip skirt is one of those skirts that can be styled SO many different ways and for different occasions. One of the nice things about a printed skirt (and prints in general) is you can pull different colors from the print and style it with different colored tops. As an example, one of the colors in this skirt is beige so here I paired the skirt with a beige colored sweater. Depending on your work environment, this outfit could be worn for work, brunch, church, or everyday!

Even though there is no olive green in this skirt, the olive green blazer along with the ivory ruffle blouse compliments the colors in the skirt SO well! This would be another great option for work or those more dressy occasions like brunch, church, a baby shower, Easter, or graduation!

Can you tell I’m having so much fun styling this skirt?! lol I love trying to think of new ways to style the same piece! Even though there is no navy blue in the skirt, the navy blue cardigan pairs SO well with the grays and beige that’s in the skirt.
