I’m so excited to partner with Ann Taylor today to share some of their new arrivals for fall! I’m seeing a lot of ruffles, puff shoulders, and plaid in Ann Taylor’s new arrivals section and I am LOVING it! Today’s blog post will be focused on workwear but all of these pieces could be dressed down and worn more casually!
Starting things off with this classic work outfit! This outfit is classic but with a pretty twist in the form of ruffle details at the collar and sleeves of this button up shirt. This shirt looks so pretty on its own and once it gets colder out I would style it with a sweater over the top so that the ruffle collar and sleeves poke out from under the sweater. Thinking about this outfit combination is making me VERY excited for cooler weather so that I can wear that outfit lol. This shirt is a work wardrobe staple because it will always be in style, can be worn with any colored skirt or pants, and could be worn on its own or layered under a sweater, blazer, or cardigan! I’m wearing this ruffle shirt here with black belted culottes, love the way they move while walking! These pants are high waisted and are made of a soft and stretchy material!

How pretty is this plaid pencil skirt?! Love the colors in the plaid print and button details! Also love that this skirt could be worn in the fall with a sweater, like I did here, but it also could be worn in the spring with a white button up shirt! Here I styled it with a cream colored sweater but it also could be worn with a navy blue or burnt orange colored sweater to pull out the other colors in the skirt! (P.S. This skirt runs true to size and I sized down in this sweater to get a more fitted look.)

Speaking of plaid, I was SO excited when I saw this plaid blouse! It has the prettiest details! It has a satin-like look to the material and it has puff shoulders and a tie neck! When it gets colder out, it would be so pretty worn under a blazer or cardigan because it will draw attention to the pretty tie neck! I’m wearing it here with one of my favorite pants for work! These navy blue pants are high waisted, stretchy, and very comfortable! I also love the cuff at the ankle!

I can’t get enough of shirts that have a puff shoulder, can you tell?! Here I am wearing a light blue button up shirt that has puff shoulders! I styled it here with the same navy blue ankle pants that I had on earlier and a taupe sweater around my shoulders! (Love this color combination!) This button up shirt is another work wardrobe staple because it is a timeless piece that could be styled so many different ways! I also plan to wear it with black pants and camel colored pants this fall!
