It’s HEEEEEEERE! The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale! There are so many great basics, shoes, beauty, and workwear included in this year’s sale! I rounded up my top picks in each category. But first, let’s talk about key shopping dates and my biggest tip for shopping the sale!
The preview for the sale can be viewed now. I LOVE that Nordstrom has been doing the preview of the sale prior to it going live because it gives me time to comb through all the items, pick my favorites and narrow down my shopping list. The sale is open to everyone starting on July 28th. The sale is open earlier, depending on your Nordstrom status, below are the key dates.
In the past, things often sold out by the time I was able to shop the sale but I found a way to get sold out things that has proven to be quite successful! Before I’m able to shop the sale, I review the entire sale and make a wish list of items that I would like to pick up. I usually pick up one or two “big ticket” items, like a coat or boots, and I like to restock on my favorite beauty items and/or try out a new beauty item by buying a gift set so that I can try multiple products. Once I determine what I really really really want to buy in the sale (this year, it’s these knee high boots and dress for work), I keep a tab of the item open on my phone and just keep refreshing the website throughout the day. It takes patience and persistence but I have found GREAT success in doing this!
And now, time for the fun stuff! Below I have picked out my favorite items in workwear, beauty, workout wear, casual wear, pj’s and loungewear, and shoes!
Workwear Favorites
I tried, I tried REALLY hard to narrow down my workwear favorites to only a handful of items but I couldn’t do it! There are just SO many great workwear pieces included in the sale this year! The pieces that I selected are all classic items that will always be in style. These items also could be styled so many different ways to create different looks! (P.S. Casual Outfits Favorites
My ideal everyday fall wardrobe is below! I love a plain white shirt and jeans combination with a duster cardigan and booties, such an easy, cute, everyday outfit! I especially like this white shirt because of the tie knot detail in the front! Such a fun twist on a plain white shirt! I’m a HUGE fan of Madewell jeans and was so excited to see a pair of their straight leg jeans part of the sale! I think I have over 5 pairs of Madewell jeans now, they are THAT good! I find Madewell jeans to be very flattering and comfortable because they have a good amount of stretch to them! I was also excited to see this pretty dusty rose colored cardigan part of the sale! I bought this cardigan a few years ago from the NSale, it is such a pretty color and so cozy! If you’re in the market for a beautiful suede or leather jacket, now is a great time to pick one up at a great discounted price! I have my eye on this beautiful light tan suede moto jacket! SO pretty!

Workout Favorites
There is such a great selection of workout gear included in this year’s sale! Can never have enough black workout leggings! I love neutral clothes but for my workout outfit, I LOVE to wear bright, fun colors! I mean, how pretty are these blush pink leggings?!

PJ’s and Loungewear Favorites
Eek! My favorite pj’s are part of the sale! These pj’s are SO soft! I bought the sleep shirt and sleep shirt and pants set about a year ago and they still look like new! They wash and wear really well!

Shoe Favorites
Last year I bought a pair of tan knee high boots and booties during the sale and I’m planning to pick a pair of black knee high boots this year! Based on prior years, I’m fairly certain most of the boots and booties will be sold out by the time the sale opens to the public, however, I am DETERMINED to pick up these knee high boots during the sale! I’ll be using the tip that I shared earlier to hopefully ::fingers crossed:: pick them up! Also part of the sale are these Stuart Weitzman over the knee suede boots! I bought these boots many years ago and they are SUCH a great boot! They’re very comfortable and could be worn with jeans for a casual look or with a skirt or dress for a more dressy look!

Beauty Favorites
During the #NSale, I like to stock up on my favorite beauty products and also try something new! I first tried La Mer products through a gift set that I bought a couple NSales ago and I have been using the La Mer face moisturizer ever since! It’s hands down my favorite moisturizer! With the exception of the light up mirror (it’s on my wishlist!), all of the beauty products that I have linked down below are products that I have used and love!
I can’t recommend the silk pillowcase enough! I have been using this silk pillowcase for about three years now and even bring it with me to travel! Silk pillowcases are supposed to be really good for your hair and face because it doesn’t pull on your hair (which can cause breakage) or skin like cotton pillowcases do. (It also has a nice cooling effect to it!) Another favorite of mine is this Nars blush. It is SUCH a pretty peachy/pink shade with a hint of shimmer. And I can’t say enough good things about Olaplex hair products! I have only been using Olaplex hair products for the past year or so and I have noticed such a huge difference in my hair! It has gotten so thick and it feels so soft and healthy!
