I don’t know about you but my workout routine has been non-existent these last few weeks! From Thanksgiving to the New Year, things get so hectic and it’s sooo cold out that it’s hard to get motivated to hit the gym! But I find wearing cute new workout clothes always has a way to motivate me! It’s the little things! I have rounded up the cutest workout clothes to keep you and I motivated (most of which are on major sale right now!)!
Comfortable sneakers is a MUST! I always invest in sneakers because it is important to have the proper support for your body and joints whether you are out for a run on the streets, on the treadmill, lifting weights, or doing a class. I like to have a pair of black or white sneakers because they are so versatile and go with anything and you can wear them everyday whether you’re running errands or walking to the office! I also love to wear sneakers that have color because they are so fun, especially during this time of year where everything is so dark! Below are my top quality sneaker finds:
High waisted tights are my personal favorite to wear to the gym because they are so comfortable and so flattering! Black tights are a must have because they can be worn with anything, whether it be black sneakers or bright pink sneakers! You can also wear any color top with them too! But I also can’t resist tights that are a fun color or pattern, it keeps things fun and interesting! I love these Nike Pro HyperWarm leggings because they come in a few different beautiful colors (my personal favorite is the gray!) and they will help keep you warm during your run without overheating you! I love Nike when it comes to workout gear because their clothes are such high quality and I also love Victoria’s Secret because the workout clothes are so fashionable (like this keyhole tee)!
During this time of year, I wear a lot of layers and going to the gym is no different! Usually when I first get to the gym I am SO COLD that I don’t even want to take my coat off! My layers for the gym are: a tank top, followed by a long sleeved shirt, followed by a pullover. As I start working out and my body heat rises I slowly start to take off the pullover and then the long sleeved shirt, although sometimes I leave the long sleeved shirt on because I am still so cold!
I always bring my yoga mat with me to the gym so that I can do pre-workout stretches and for ab exercises. My gym has yoga mats but they are so thin and I prefer this Gaiam yoga mat because it is thicker than most and is so comfortable for my back when I do ab exercises! And the pretty colors and pattern is an added bonus! I also always pack a water bottle and a headband to keep my hair out of face.
