(PAID PARTNERSHIP WITH ANN TAYLOR)
The temperature hit 70 degrees the other day and I was SO excited to wear spring clothes without needing to wear thermals underneath! Since spring is days away, I thought it is the perfect time to share some spring outfits for work!
I’m loving all the blush pink that is out right now at Ann Taylor! It is the perfect color to wear to transition into spring! I love how versatile blush pink is and I consider it a neutral! In the below outfit I’m wearing blush pink ankle pants with a pretty white peplum top for a business casual outfit! These pants have a mid-rise and I love the ankle length because they look good with high heels but they also would look great with flat shoes! And how pretty is this peplum top?! It’s very stretchy and it has a hidden zipper in the back! I also LOVE the length of the sleeves! It has short sleeves but the sleeves are longer than a typical short sleeved top! (I find this sleeve length to be the most flattering on me!)

I like to have a blazer or cardigan on hand in case the air conditioning gets too cold for me! Here I am wearing a beautiful white tweed blazer for a more business professional look! Love the fit of this blazer and the tortoise button details!

I love neutral colored clothing because it is so easy to mix and match pieces to create new looks! Since this peplum top is white, it will look good with almost any colored pant or skirt! As an example, I swapped out the blush pink pants for gray pants below!

I can’t resist tweed! It’s such a classic and pretty style, can you blame me?!! I also love that tweed can be worn all year round so you can get a lot of wear out of it! Ann Taylor always comes out with the most beautiful tweed pieces and this navy blue tweed jacket is no exception! It is such great quality and I love all of the details! This tweed jacket is mostly navy blue and it has off white, light blue, and a subtle blue shimmer thread running through it! The material has a braided look to it at the edges, which is a nice (and different!) touch! It has hidden fish hook closures so you also could wear it closed.
In the below outfit I’m wearing a classic white button down shirt and navy blue ankle pants along with neutral colored high heels. I like the loose, drapey fit of this button down shirt and the v-neck style! It gives the outfit a somewhat more business casual look! (P.S. This white button down shirt runs big and I recommend sizing down one size in it! I sized down to an extra small here.) And don’t get me started on these navy blue ankle pants! To say I love them is an understatement! I first got them in gray and loved them so much that I bought them in black and navy blue! They are SO good! I *hope* Ann Taylor brings them out in more colors! They’re made of a thick, stretchy material and they are so comfortable! They also are high waisted, which I find to be the most flattering on me!

Next up is this fit and flare style dress! It’s the perfect length for work! It hits me right at the knees and for sizing reference I’m 5’6″. (P.S. This dress runs slightly big and I recommend sizing down one size, I sized down to an XS. I’m wearing the XS in the regular size and this dress also comes in petite sizes!) It also has cap sleeves so you don’t need to wear a blazer or cardigan over it! And, my favorite part, are the tortoise buttons on one shoulder! It’s such a pretty touch! During the summer, I usually wear my hair in a bun at work and by pulling my hair back it will really draw attention to the pretty buttons at the shoulder! This dress is made of a lightweight jersey material that is very stretchy and comfortable! I wore this dress the other day and I’m happy to report that it doesn’t wrinkle, AT ALL! So it’s perfect for an 8+ hour day sitting in meetings or at your desk!
You can never go wrong with a black dress! Black dresses instantly look stylish! Since this outfit is relatively neutral and simple, you could have so much fun with accessories! You could wear fun leopard shoes with this dress or a silk scarf! In the below, I wore a pretty animal print silk scarf to give this outfit something “extra”! This dress also can easily be worn outside of work! For example, you could swap out your work purse for a pretty sequin clutch for an evening out! Or, for a more casual look, you could swap out the high heels for sandals for a casual Sunday brunch outfit!

I’m ending the blog post with one of my favorite colors for spring, blush pink! Here I am wearing a monochromatic blush pink outfit, perfect for this time of year! This blouse has a hammered satin look to it and it has the prettiest buttons at the cuffs! I paired it here with the same blush pink pants that I had on earlier but this blouse could also be worn with off white pants, navy blue pants, black pants, or gray pants! I’m also wearing a leopard silk scarf around my neck because, why not?! I love to wear scarves around my neck because I think they make an outfit more stylish and interesting!
